Sola Salon gives beauty pros their own private studios; so they can do their thing, their way. My job? Make sure their website did the same. As the web designer on this extensive overhaul, I created a platform that was clean, responsive, and packed with everything an aspiring salon owner needs to take the leap. With seamless navigation, engaging visuals, and a focus on Sola’s supportive community, the site makes it easier than ever for beauty professionals to ditch the traditional salon life and go solo with Sola.

Design Overhaul:
Sola Salons had recently gone through a branding facelift and were looking for their vision to be brought to life with a brand new website. Over the course of seven months, I designed each element of the user’s journey, created a thorough and robust UX Guide, and collaborated closely with their dev team to ensure the site not only matched the designs, but that the functionality was easy to understand and adhered to the pathways we’d mapped out at the beginning of the project.
Own It & Stop Searching:
Both campaigns were targeted towards existing salon owners and current beauty pros who were looking to become their own boss, their way. Each campaign included direct mail postcards, social ads for Instagram, and email blasts.
Campaigns:
In addition to the website, Sola extended my work by asking for two campaigns that were targeted to their beauty pros and salon contacts (owners and potential owners). For each campaign, they wanted to showcase their updated branding, speak to the freedom that is found in Sola Salons, and create a cohesive, simple look that would focus on the messaging.
